One of the most exciting stages of your new home journey is watching your home being built from the ground up. We believe in doing things the right way and have longstanding relationships with our trade partners. Boone Homes has 6 key construction meetings to ensure your home will be exactly how you envisioned.
First, you will meet with me at our office for a plan review meeting where we will review, make any changes and finalize your home plans. Once you have signed off on your home plans and we’ve received your building permit, you’ll meet with your superintendent for a pre-construction meeting at your home site and review the home location, drainage plains and driveway placement before construction begins.
Next is the electrical walk-through meeting. Here you will be able to see first-hand the quality that goes into your home, behind the walls. Cabinet and appliance location will be clearly marked and standard outlets will be located. At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to place lights and switches where you find them convenient.
Your superintendent will notify you of a date for your Pre-drywall meeting. At this meeting, you will review your home before all of the structural, mechanical and insulation systems are covered by drywall. Once your home is complete, your superintendent will also schedule a Final Walk-Through and demonstrate the various functions and systems of your home and review all the warranty and emergency procedures. He will record a checklist of any items to be fixed in your home and will correct these prior to your Final Orientation Meeting
Once the checklist is completed, your Superintendent will reach out to schedule a Final Orientation Meeting where you will approve all of the corrections and sign off on the completed list. This concludes the construction process and your home is ready for closing.
We pride ourselves at Boone Homes on having time-tested and homeowner-approved processes and procedures in place and will be there to assist you every step of the way.
