There are so many reasons to consider supporting local businesses. RVAg works to foster relationships between the Richmond community and local farmers, producers and artisans. When you shop at a local farmer’s market, you can be certain that you are getting fresh high-quality produce when it is in its peak season.
What is RVAg?
RVAg is a not-for-profit organization that manages multiple farmers' markets as well as a year-round online marketplace that features a diverse line-up of growers and producers. RVAg’s mission is to create and market fun and vibrant venues for local farmers to offer products directly to consumers.
Farmers Markets
RVAg manages 4 different farmers' markets in the greater Richmond area from the Spring through the Fall. These farmers' markets offer more than just produce. It will meet all of your local farm produce and pastured meat needs, as well as special treats like baked goods, flowers, gifts and more! Hang around for a while - each location has a weekly food truck as well as live music!

Goochland Farmers Market Courthouse - Tuesdays (4-6:30pm)
Manakin Market - Saturdays (9am-12pm)
Farmers Market at Urban Farmhouse Midlothian - Wednesdays (4-6pm)
Powhatan Village Farmers Market - Thursdays (4-6:30pm)
The Goochland Farmers Market Courthouse is within walking distance to one of our new home communities, Reed Marsh! Make your visit a family event and stop by the food truck and listen and enjoy live music. Check out the map to see what vendors and food trucks are coming each week!
Online Market
The RVAg Marketplace allows you to order from local farmers and producers online and pick up at one of the many pick-up locations each week YEAR-ROUND. You can find almost anything on the online marketplaces - produce, meats, local honey, jams and jellies, sweet treats, bread, coffee, candles, oils, skincare and more! Take a look at their buying page to see all that RVAg has to offer. The RVAg marketplace is a great way to support local farmers and producers all while having the convenience of online shopping.
Shop online and place your order between Fridays at 12:01am and Mondays at 11:59pm. Each pick-up site has a dedicated day and time - choose what works best for you! Every Wednesday your order is delivered to the RVAg staff who sorts, stores and delivers to your pick-up location!
Boone Homes is building in two communities that are WALKING distance to pick-up sites. Reed Marsh is located just half a mile from the Goochland Courthouse pick-up location (Wednesdays 4-6pm). The red barn at Chickahominy Falls is also a pick-up spot (Wednesdays 4-6pm) - shop local without leaving the neighborhood! Find more pick-up sites here.
