Hanover Wayside Park

Enjoy the fresh air on one of the walking trails at Hanover Wayside Park. The park also has picnic shelters, a playground, horseshoe pits and a volleyball court. 

Downtown Ashland

Just a quick 10-minute drive up route 1 is the historic downtown Ashland, the home of many local restaurants, shopping, and more. Railroad tracks are found right down the center of the main street that is lined with sidewalks and benches. Visit the Ashland Museum and the Red Caboose to learn more about the story of Ashland.

The Ashland theatre originally opened in 1948 and was donated to the historic landmark to the Town of Ashland in 2013. reopened in 2018 after a two-year renovation and features new and classic films as well as live music. Take a look at the calendar of movies and performances here! 

The Hanover Tavern is one of the oldest surviving taverns in the United States. Visit the tavern to learn about the history of this colonial-era tavern through self-guided tours and exhibits, enjoy culinary excellence from the Tavern Restaurant or attend one of the many theatre performances.

You’ll find dozens of local restaurants in downtown Ashland. The Caboose Market and Cafe is located along the railroad tracks and provides beverages, cheeses and other local products. You don’t want to miss the farm-to-table fare from the cafe either. Stop by Ashland Meat Company for fresh meat from the on-site butcher, seasonal produce and grab-and-go items.
