Boone Homes named Builder of the Year by the Home Building Association of Richmond

At the annual MAME awards by the Home Building Association of Richmond, Boone Homes won big across the board!

Boone Homes was named Builder of the Year for 2021 based on the following categories: involvement in the homebuilding industry, product development, advertising, general brokerage relationships, sales and marketing team relationships, buyer relations, success in the marketplace and obstacles overcome, philosophy and number of homes closed. 


Boone Homes worked hard to be considered for this title by being the top supporter of the BuildPAC (political action committee) since 2005, National Association of Home Builders delegate representation, and diligent involvement in HBAR including Boone Homes President, Mitchell Bode, serving as 2020 HBAR President, current Executive Committee Member, and past Legislative Committee Chairman. Boone Homes also introduced 3 new floor plans in 2021 while developing 7 new floor plans for future communities, completed a rebrand including digital content, built and unveiled a brand new website which increased users by over 37%, and was featured in 3 Richmond Times Dispatch articles as well as 3 Richmond Bizsense articles. 

The Siena model home at Reed Marsh in Goochland Courthouse won Best Model Home in the category of $700,000-$900,000. This show stopping home built in 2021 was judged based on landscaping, visual appeal, overall impact, signage and merchandising. 

Community Managers Jackie McGurl and Penny Moore were also honored for their achievements in closed sales volume for 2021. 

Jackie McGurl was honored in the Platinum category, the highest category for sales volume achievements and ranked 7th overall for new home sales consultants in the greater Richmond area! 

Penny Moore was honored in the Gold category, the second highest category for sales volume achievements.
