Autumn is a beautiful time in the Roanoke Valley. The Star City is surrounded by mountains that explode with vivid colors this time of year. A drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fall can be breathtaking. Owners of many Roanoke new homes, especially those living in The Groves, a Boone Homes neighborhood located in Southwest County, don’t need to get in their vehicles to appreciate the beauty. Not only do many homes in The Groves back up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, but the neighborhood features walking trails overlooking the Parkway. Imagine taking a walk with your family on a crisp fall day and taking in the beauty that surrounds your new Boone home. To me that seems like a perfect relaxing weekend afternoon and you would not even have to leave your neighborhood.
It is your last chance to buy a Roanoke new home from Boone Homes in Stone Manor. The builder has recently completed the last home in Stone Manor, a hugely popular neighborhood in Southwest Roanoke County. Stone Manor has attracted many families small and large.
What would it be like if one could spend the rest of life in a golfing paradise? You know, the kind of golfing paradise with a course within a leisurely drive of a golf cart? A kind of paradise that does not sacrifice luxury, accentuates lifestyle and provides one the freedom to golf without concern for their home. Play the front nine holes in the morning, drive your golf cart home for lunch, and then back to the club to make the turn. After the round is complete bring the buddies home for an impromptu grilling seminar by chef You. How about making the stakes higher and say that the golf course needs to have placed on the Golf Digest Best list? Higher yet? How about require the community be located within a stone’s throw of metropolitan convenience? Look no further, I’ve found your new paradise.
Most of the best things in life are simple. For example, compare a walk through the park with the grand kids to a trip to Chuck E Cheese. Which event sounds more relaxing? My guess is you probably selected the event without the rodent and cardboard pizza. Simplicity once again takes its rightful place at the top of the list.
There is a wonderful new phrase in the real estate business called “Lock and Leave.” Its greatness lies in its simplicity. In a few simple words it states how revolutionary No Maintenance living really is.

Great News! Richmond new homes are under construction. Boone Homes has a new plan under construction in Tarrington on the James on a home site backing up to a preserve. This all brick Courtyard Villa Home, the Fairbridge, features a first floor master suite with a decadent master bath, soaking tub, separate shower and his & hers closets. This architectural master piece is designed for one level living and conveniently locates all the conveniences on the first floor. Mouldings masterfully whisper luxury to the dinner guests in the dining room as they eye follows the lines of the exclusive coffered ceiling. Congregate in the gourmet kitchen for a show in culinary arts from your family chef, or relax late into the evening while staring into the dancing flames of the gas log fireplace in your family room.
Some of the best things in life happen in groups. Think about it. Three chocolate bars shared with another friend are better than trying to share two fun-size bars. I haven’t read the fine print, but there must be a no share policy written on the bag of each fun size candy bar, simple candy bar ethics. Another example, a gift certificate for a double-mini-cake-doughnut with pink frosting and white wedding bead sprinkles alongside a frappe places higher on the good gift list than just a coffee. Boone Homes has applied this very reasoning to building Richmond new homes. Why build one, when you can build three and make them really sweet. Let me explain.

When you move to a new area, it can take months, even years really to feel “settled”, and to know where the best shopping is, where the best parks are, who the best doctors are, and where the best places to eat are located. It can be frustrating starting all over again.
I have lived in Roanoke for three years now, and have been excited to find out that Roanoke has such wonderful local flavor. What I mean is that Roanoke has such a unique atmosphere of down home charm despite being a rather sizeable metropolitan area. When I first moved here, I dreaded starting over again. However, I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was for Roanoke to feel like “home”. Living in Roanoke is like slipping on your favorite sweater, it just fits, and it feels warm and inviting. There are two great malls for shopping, and many unique little shops. There are wonderful parks, local attractions like the Mill Mountain Zoo, and many locally owned family restaurants that have some of the best food I have ever eaten.
