Richmond-area residents can enjoy holiday festivities during the Dominion GardenFest of Lights Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, the city’s ultimate holiday extravaganza! Open now through Jan. 12, 2015, the theme for this year’s event is A Legacy in Lights: 120 Years from Bicycle Club to Botanical Garden.
Festival attendees will enjoy this Richmond holiday tradition that features more than a half-million twinkling lights, hand-crafted botanical decorations, model trains, holiday dinners, a fire pit with s’mores, hot chocolate, nightly family activities and more. The nightly activities include a fireside story time on Merry Mondays, Caroling Tuesdays, Craft Wednesdays and Musical Thursdays.
GardenFest of Lights takes place nightly now through Jan. 12 except on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The garden is open nightly from 5 until 10 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors aged 55 or better, $8 for children ages 3 through 12 and free for children under age 3.
