Richmond residents are getting ready for the city’s tastiest event of the year, the third annual RVA Brew-B-Q Festival! Taking place this Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014 at the 17th Street Farmer’s Market, the festival is the quintessential celebration of summer for a city that has a love affair with both barbecue and craft brews.
At the event, all 11 of Richmond’s craft breweries can be found offering tastes of their favorite brews and special one-of concoctions, along with a collection of central Virginia’s best barbecue producers. Participating breweries include Midnight Brewery, Triple Crossing, Bold Rock Cider, Hardywood Park and more. Tap 26 will also be on hand offering wine tastes. Attendees can pair all of the tasty drink samples with some of Richmond’s best barbecue, including Alamo BBQ, Buz and Ned’s Extra Billy’s, The Boardwalk and more.
In addition to the delicious fare and beverages, live music from Brittany Marie and Andrew Alli and Last Night’s Blues Band can be enjoyed throughout the day. There will also be an expanded crafts and produce market for patrons to enjoy this year.
The RVA Brew-B-Q Festival will be held at the 17th Street Farmer’s Market, which is located at 11 N. 17th St. in Richmond, from noon until 5 p.m. Entry into the event is free, but beer and food are purchased separately. Beer samples are $2 each or $6 for full pours. For more information on the event, click here.
