Roanoke’s “Home Builder of the Year” is Ronald Boothe of Boone Homes

On Thursday, December 9th, 2010, the Roanoke Regional Homebuilders Association (RRHBA) had their annual Christmas dinner, and Toys for Tots Celebration.   At this festive event, they announced the winners of the Members of the Year Awards,  and Boone Homes’ Vice President and General Manager, Ronald J. Boothe was honored with  the award for Builder of the Year.

Ron, and other members of the Boone Homes Team in Roanoke actively participate with the Homebuilders association to improve the homebuilding industry in our area.   Ron has been involved with RRHBA  for many years,  including serving as President in 1989.  Ron’s active participation has centered on legislative and regulatory matters on both the local and state levels.  His high level of interest and participation in these arenas continue to be vital to the Association’s ability to affect regulations impacting the construction industry.  He is secretary/treasurer for SUBPAC, a political action committee, and is one of the trustees for the HBAV BuildPAC. Ron also represents the Association on the TAP Board of Directors and is a constant on sub-committees established to work on matters pertaining to Roanoke County and Roanoke City. Ron’s experience and expertise were recently acknowledged by Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell with a gubernatorial appointment to the Virginia Board of Housing & Community Development, which promulgates regulations for housing, community development, building safety, and fire prevention.  All of us at Boone Homes are very proud of Ron and his accomplishments for our industry, and give him our Congratulations on receiving this award.

Boone Homes has always been a leader in the home building industy, and even in tough economic times continues to be a  leader in  community and industry. From Ron’s dedication to the Roanoke HBA, to Boone Homes ‘ David Owen’s appointment as President of the Richmond Homebuilder’s Association you can see  Boone Homes committment to community and the homebuilding industry.  We pledge to continue that commitment and be the best Homebuilders in Roanoke and Richmond in 2011 and beyond.
