If you are new to the Richmond area, perhaps you are not familiar with Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. If so then now might be the perfect time to visit during the annual “A Million Blooms” spring flower display. This year you can also see the Glorious “Glass in the Garden” mixed in around all of the flowers and trees in the garden. There are more than 100 pieces in this equisite exhibit by renowned glass artist Hans Godo Frabel. This is the debute for the exhibit in the mid-Atlantic region, and it will include three major new pieces. Some of the pieces are large, like the 900-pound clear glass cubes in the upper gardens; and some are small, like the tiniest glass frogs, lizards and flowers in all the other areas of the garden. Glorious Glass in the Garden: The Art of Hans Godo Fräbel at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden runs April 1, 2010 – Jan. 10, 2011. It will also be a part of GardenFest of Lights. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy all the beauty of Lewis Ginter and the Glass in the Garden.
