Are You Sick of Shoveling Snow?

Wow, after two weekends of shoveling over 12 inches of snow each of the last two Saturdays,  I am ready for spring.  I have lived in Richmond, Virgina for over 50 years and I am hard pressed to remember this much snow on the ground at one time.

After digging my car out of a pile of snow on Saturday, I decided to check on the progress of the snow removal in several of the Boone Homes communities located throughout Richmond and Roanoke.

All of the driveways were clear of snow and the sunshine was working on melting what ice was left. Just another perk of living in one of the many Boone Homes communities where maintenance is included with your Homeowners Association fees.

I am counting down the days until I can make the move to one of Boone Homes’ many maintenance provided communities which include, Bellingham at Twin Hickory,  The Villas at Grey Oaks, Tarrington Courtyard Homes and The Coach Homes at Kinloch.

It will be great when I can wake up in the morning, look out my window and see my driveway glittering in the daylight with fresh piles of snow on either side. One homeowner from The Coach Homes of Kinloch was so happy with the service, he wrote a letter:

“Our driveways were done so well – for both this snow storm and the last one- and I just wanted you to know that we are appreciative. I like the way they hand shoveled in front of the garage doors before clearing the snow from the driveways.  I heard them working late into the night last night. Thank you for taking care of us so promptly.  We appreciate that “

If the current weather patterns continues we will all have more shoveling ahead (unless you live in a Boone Homes maintenance provided community that is).  Until I make the move, I will just have to remain envious of those who already have given up the snow shoveling for a better lifestyle and wake up extra early to clear off my car and shovel out my driveway.
